Ah balls, it’s that time of year again! The city centre fills up with slack-jawed cretins until you can’t even queue to buy a pot noodle without wanting to cut out your own eyes. Xmas seems to have lost its true meaning over the last few years, what with the total commodification of fun.
The celebration of the birth (or was it death? I can never remember) of our lordy Jesus Christ is basically an excuse to drink until your liver bleeds for 3 months.
We rarely need that excuse, but for one night only (again) we will be boozing and partying under the guise of celebrating ‘xmas’.

If you came to our party last year, you may recall our good buddies Banditos. They went to see The Pogues the night before, turned up for sound check sporting a genuinely shocking range of hangovers and black eyes, and then utterly rocked the building. So naturally we asked the local folk-punk legends back this year. Their music feels so seasonal, especially if you’re shitfaced!

As a bonus we’ve invited our 2-piece heroes Death Rays, the Sheffield spaghetti-blues brothers from hell. Why these chaps aren’t famous we’re not sure, but if you’ve never seen them before then you will come and see them or forever suffer the burning shame of er, not having seen them!
